Learning something new is difficult when you already know the answer.
It can be helpful to take everything we know and put it aside for a while.
Start fresh, from the ground up, where it is safe to learn and discover.
Beginning with "I don't know" gives you the opportunity to see the world for the first time again. Children ask why, over and over again.
By suspending beliefs and expectations you gain the freedom to explore and discover. Your curiosity gets reinvigorated. Everything is fresh.
When you've done enough exploring, you can pick up those beliefs again. They'll be there for you when you're ready to come back. Maybe you'll introduce them to a new friend.
