The ordinary and the miraculous are not mutually exclusive.
Wake up every morning in awe. You are breathing. Oxygen is going into your blood stream, helping your muscles move and your mind function. You can see and understand. You have balance. You can touch things, people, and animals, and feel them through your skin.
Your heart has been beating ever since you were born. Your lungs have contracted and expanded. Your mind is always learning. You have the ability to love, feel, dream, imagine, and create.
The things we do every day are miracles — each and every one of them. Each and every time we do them.
Every moment is miraculous.
“The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on the green earth, dwelling deeply in the present moment and feeling truly alive.”
— Thich Nhat Hanh
